The European Union Visitors Programme (EUVP), jointly organised by the European Parliament and the European Commission, regularly invites young leaders from outside the EU for visit programmes to the European institutions. Participants gain first-hand information on the EU's values, functioning, activities, policies and perspectives. The EUVP helps promote common EU values through strengthening long-term bilateral relations between the EU and other countries. In the framework of this programme I had a meeting with Ms. Nino TVALTVADZE from Georgia - former Deputy Mayor, Human Capital Development Manager at Kutaisi International University and Expert in planning and implementing of social programs at National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG). Among other topics, we discussed the future of the Eastern Partnership, young people and participation in decision making process, supporting women political participation, etc.
