I was asked to hold a personal meeting in Strasbourg with Azerbaijani delegation - namely with Mr. Tural Ganjaliyev (Co-Chair of PCC from Azerbaijan) and Mr. Rashad Aghazada (2nd Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mission to the European Union). The aim of the meeting originally was to discuss the energy relations between EU and Azerbaijan. However, I changed it to the renewed hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan, resulting in deaths of many Armenians, violating the promise that both countries gave each other in Brussels just a few weeks prior.
