I had a meeting in my EP office in Brussels with Mr. Nury Turkel, Chair of the US Commission on International Religious Freedom and Senior Fellow at Hudson Institute, who is the author of the memoir book "NO ESCAPE: The true Story of China's Genocide of the Uyghurs". As I am the Vice-Chair of the Uyghur Friendship Group in the EP, Mr. Turkel wanted to share with me his insight regarding the Uyghur genocide.
