I was asked by Ms. Eliška Pírková (senior policy analyst at Access Now, a global human rights organization that defends human rights of online users at risk), togehter with her colleague Sebastian Becker (European Digital Rights - EDRi) to hold an online meeting in connection to the proposed European Media Freedom Act (EMFA). They wanted to discuss how to incorporate essential fundamental rights safeguards to this important Regulation and also to present their joint position on the measures tackling the use of surveillance technology against journalists and on the EMFA's digital chapter.
