On behalf of the Directorate-General for External Policies of the Union I was asked for a meeting with a group of 13 women parliamentarians and 2 staff from the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova who came to the European Parliament in Brussels to participate in a Women Empowerment programme organised by the Democracy Support and Election Coordination Group (DEG). I gladly accepted the meeting request and met with the Moldovan women polititians. They mostly asked me about the accession process of Moldova.
