I had a meeting in my office in Brussels with a representative of EGF, affiliated with the Greens/EFA group we are members of. We discussed mainly the involvement of young people and informing them abotu EU politics and how can I participate in that.

I had a meeting in my office in Brussels with Ms. Zhorzholiani. She is a Senior Adviser (on the tops of good governance on sub-national level and on local and regional issues) at the German International Cooperation (GIZ) in Tbilisi Georgia. It has been an introductory meeting.

I met in Tbilisi with Egor Kuroptev from Free Russia Foundation. We met in August for the first time and I contacted him again to get another point of view on the protests in Tbilisi. He introduced me to people involved in the protests and we discussed with them what is going on from their point of view, especially in regards to human rights, political prisoners and the future of Georgian democracy.

Na pozvání Lenoida Volkova a ruských Pirátů jsem jela na jejich konferenci o svobodě Internetu. Potkala jsem se tam s předsedou libertariánské strany Svetovem a hlavním opozičním aktivistou Navalným a diskutovali jsme problémy Ruska všeobecně i ve vztahu k cenzuře a ochraně dat.

Setkala jsem se s panem Kurfürstem z MZV v kavárně naproti Parlamentu v Bruselu. Bavili jsme se o budoucnosti Východního partnerství a o mé činnost v této oblasti, stejně jako o činnosti pana Kurfürsta. Dozvěděla jsem se také více o Trio Strategii 2030, která měla být pár dní na to v Tbilisi hlasována, a postoji ČR k ní.

I had a meeting with experts on gene drives, also with Greens/EFA staff from AFET/SEDE and ENVI. We discussed the dual use implication of gene drives and the need for regulation.

I had a meeting with Mr. Gegelia to discuss topics like the state of democracy, sustainability and the green perspective on possible EU-membership of Georgia. We discussed also future strategies and possible cooperation with MEPs and Greens/EFA group.

I attended a debriefing from Leonid Volkov who is one of the most interesting and thoughtful Russian politicians. We discussed update on the current state of political situation in Russia, the prospects for Russian opposition and the role of new media for mobilization of citizens in Russia.

I had a metting with Mrs. Natalie Sabanadze and Mr. Zurab Khjamashudridz from Georgian Embassy in Belgium. It was a courtesy meeting to exchange views on cooperation in the framework of Euronest and DSCA.

We talked about the EU development in the military area (form Defence Fund to arms exports), and we exchanged views about the role the European Parliament should play.
