I had a meeting in my office in Brussels with Mrs. Eugenia Andreyuk. She is working with human rights in Eastern Partnership, Russia and Central Asia in the NGO Anti-Discrimination Center Memorial, focusing on discrimination and persecution of vulnerable groups.

I joined a discussion organized by the German Marshall Fund in Brussels with opposition MPs about Georgia’s ongoing electoral struggle and the future of democratic reforms in the country.

We met in the European Parliament with Mr. Kandelaki from European Georgia Party, together with my colleague from the Greens group, Mrs. von Cramon and our advisors. It was an introductory meeting, as we knew a lot about the situation in Georgia already, we asked a few questions specifying what is going on.

I had a meeting in my office in Brussels with Mr. Fuad Isgandarov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Head of Mission to the European Union. It has been a mutually introductory meeting. We discussed the Eastern Partnership, role of Azerbaijan in the EaP and comming report in AFET and INTA regarding to EaP. I have been given a traditional Azerbaijani tea in a wooden box.

We were discussing situation in Catalonia, situation of newly recognized Catalunian MEPs, ECJ ruling and the programme of the political party Junts per Catalunya.

I had a meeting in my office i Brussels with the Ambassador Tomáš Szuonyog, Permanent Representative to the Political and Security Committee (COPS), Deputy Head of the Czech Permanent Representation to the EU. We discussed on what topics I focus and how it correlates with the Czech foreign affairs policy. We touched in more detail the future Czech Council presidency and preparations for that.

Účastnila jsem se konference (modelové zasedání institucí EU) v rámci projektu „Rozhoduj o Evropě – Staň se na den tvůrcem evropské politiky“. Ta se uskutečnila od 22. do 26. ledna 2020 v Bratislavě za účasti minimálně 60 vybraných středoškolských studentů z celé České republiky a Slovenska a dalších hostů. Projekt byl podpořený z programu Erasmus+ a byl zaměřen na podporu dialogu mladých lidí v České republice a na Slovensku o aktuálních evropských tématech a na jejich setkávání a diskuse s politiky, odborníky a dalšími osobnostmi veřejného života. Informovala jsem hodně studentů o možnostech stáží.

I joined a European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS) event - presentation of the book "This is not Propaganda: Adventures in the War against Reality" with the autor Pomerantsev. There was a talk with the autor, we connected later through e-mail.

Potkala jsem se s Kateřinou Procházkovou. Byly jsme v kontaktu již kdysi, když jsem i s Julií Redou dělala konferenci v Brně a Sinopsis pozvala na téma Social Score v Číně. Navázaly jsme na toto propojení a informovaly se, na čem pracujeme. Dozvěděla jsem se, že krom Číny se zaměřují i na Vietnam, u čehož jsme se chvíli zastavily kvůli tomu, že jsem den předtím hlasovala proti obchodní dohodě EU-Vietnam. Nebyla přislíbena žádná konkrétní budoucí spolupráce, ale budeme určitě udržovat komunikaci.
