On behalf of the Human Rights Watch I was asked for a meeting with Mr. Zach Campbell - Senior Surveillance Researcher, Technology, Rights & Investigations (Human Rights Watch). We met in the EP in Brussels together with my Advisor P. Diegel. Mr. Campbell wanted to present us his latest report “Looking the Other Way: EU Failure to Prevent Surveillance Exports to Rights Violators” and to discuss his main findings and recommendations to the EU and EU Member States regading the Dual-Use Regulation, adopted in 2021 (for which I was the Rapporteur).
