On behalf of the Cabinet of Executive Vice-President Henna Virkkunen, Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, I was ask to hold a meeting on the topic of the Cybersecurity Act 2 2026/0011(COD)), for which I´m the Rapporteur. The meeting with the Commissioner took place in the EP in Strasbourg and my Advisor P. Diegel was present as well. I informed Ms Virkkunen about the reasoning behind my draft proposal, positions of the Shadow Rapporteurs and the planned timeline of negotiations.
