Společně s kolegou Mikulášem Peksou jsem se setkala v EP v Bruselu se skupinou aktivistů z projektu Hra o klima. Byli jsme osloveni se žádostí o schůzku a o vyslechnutí ekologických aktivistů ze zemí Střední Ameriky, kteří v rámci své cesty na Klimatický summit COP 27 v Egyptě plánují navštívit několik evropských zemí se svým svědectvím z oblastí, kde klimatická změna dopadá mnohem intenzivněji než v Evropě a aby upozornili na dopady změny klimatu ve svých zemích a vyzvali k naléhavým opatřením.

I had a lunch meeting in Strasbourg with the new Ambassador of Taiwan, Mr. Remus Li-Kuo Chen Chen, who has very recently taken up his post in Brussels. It was an introductory and courtesy meeting. We exchanged contacts for further communication on the Chips Act.

V mé poslanecké kanceláři v EP ve Štrasburku jsem se setkala s panem Iversonem (hongkongský aktivista a publicista působící v Estonsku). Pan Iverson mě oslovil za účelem dosvědčit, jak čínský vliv ohrožuje hongkongskou diasporu žijící v EU i mimo ni.

Společně s mými kolegy z delegace Pirátů v Evropském parlamentu jsem se připojila na online meeting se zástupci Evropa Neasi (skupina spravující Instagramový, Twitterový a FB profil zaměřující se na výhody členství v EU). Důvodem setkání byla diskuze o případném navázání budoucí spolupráce.

As a member of INGE Committee, I was asked by Mr. Simone Gobello for a meeting with him and other representatives of Meta. The aim of the meeting was the presentation of how Meta operates across their platforms to protect them from foreign interference and what do they do on disinformation (and misinformation). I asked about their failures to hear out whistleblowers, such as Sophie Zhang, and their involvement in radicalisation or violence, such as in Myanmar.

I was asked to hold a personal meeting in Strasbourg with Azerbaijani delegation - namely with Mr. Tural Ganjaliyev (Co-Chair of PCC from Azerbaijan) and Mr. Rashad Aghazada (2nd Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Mission to the European Union). The aim of the meeting originally was to discuss the energy relations between EU and Azerbaijan. However, I changed it to the renewed hostilities between Armenia and Azerbaijan, resulting in deaths of many Armenians, violating the promise that both countries gave each other in Brussels just a few weeks prior.

I had a personal meeting in the EP premises in Strasbourg with Georgian delegation - namely with Ms. Maka Botchorishvili (Chair of the European Integration Committee of the Parliament of Georgia), Mr. Giorgi Khelashvili (First Deputy Chair of the Foreign Relations Committee, Georgia) and Ms. Tamar Diogidze (II Secretary, Mission of Georgia to the EU). We discussed the current situation in Georgia and in the region in light of the Russian agression on Ukraine, as well as the state of play of Georgia´s EU membership application and fulfillment of the 12 points before Georgia can be granted a candidate status.

Společně s mými kolegy z delegace Pirátů v Evropském parlamentu jsem se ve Štrasburku setkala s panem Mikulášem Bekem, ministrem pro evropské záležitosti. Cílem setkání bylo prodiskutovat české předsednictví v Radě EU, s důrazem na výsledky Konference o budoucnosti Evropy a jejich uvádění v praxi.

I had an online meeting with Mr. Pavel Latushka, leading Belarusian oppostion figure. We discussed the current situation in Belarus with regard to human rights, the recent developments in light of the Russian agression on Ukraine and how can I help the Belarusian oppostion.

I had an online meeting with representatives of NGOs International Partnership for Human Rights (IPHR) and Truth Hounds from Kyiv, Ukraine. I met with Mr. Dmytro Koval (an international lawyer and a Member of IPHR and Truth Hounds’ field documentation team in Ukraine), with Mr. Simon Papuashvili (IPHR’s Programme Director) and with Ms. Maryna Zastavna (IPHR’s Communications and Advocacy Officer). IPHR and Truth Hounds jointly prepare periodic analytical reports presenting evidence of war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law committed by the Russian Federation during its campaign of military aggression against Ukraine. The aim of the meeting was to deliver updates on IPHR and Truth Hounds’ field findings and recommendations concerning war crimes and violations of international humanitarian law committed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
