I was contacted with a meeting request on behalf of the Internet Society, a global non-profit dedicated to promoting an open, globally-connected and secure Internet. Me and my Assistant Paul Diegel met with Mr. David Frautschy Heredia, Senior Director for European Government and Regulatory Affairs, shortly online. Mr. Heredia wanted to discuss their new impact assessment on the harms of client-side scanning, as well as the upcoming Global Encryption Day. I promised to communicate it on social media.

I had a short meeting in my office in Brussels with Ms. Benedetta De Marte, Secretary General of the European Green Party. It was an introductory and informative meeting after my reelection. She also wanted to ask me about my plans for joining the EGP. I declined.

Byla jsem oslovena jménem Think tanku Racionální politiky závislostí, nezávislé organizace se sídlem v Brně, který se zabývá problematikou závislostí z pohledu různých politik. S paní Gherasim jsme se setkaly online a na schůzce mi představila možnosti spolupráce, včetně toho, jak může Think tank přispět k prosazování osvědčených postupů v oblasti regulace návykových látek a duševního zdraví, které již fungují v České republice, na úrovni EU.

Přijala jsem pozvání pana velvyslance Ashota Hovakimiana na Velvyslanectví Arménské republiky v Praze. Jednalo se o zdvořilostní schůzku, probírali jsme ale také současnou situaci v regionu.

Setkala jsem se s panem plukovníkem Otakarem Foltýnem, jakožto nově jmenovaným koordinátorem strategické komunikace Úřadu vlády, v jeho kanceláři na Úřade vlády. Jednalo se o seznamovací setkání s účelem vzájemného představení hlavních témat a možného navázání budoucí spolupráce.

I was contacted with a meeting request by Mrs. Iva Merheim-Eyre, Regional Liaison for Europe, Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC). Mrs. Merheim-Eyre wanted to present me the work of IPAC, a not-for-profit organisation aimed at resistance to Chinese foreign influences and protection of human rights in China.

I had a brief Jitsi call with Mr. Narayan Liu, EU Project Officer - Stand with Hong Kong, a global grassroots organisation facilitating discussion between the Hong Kong pro-democracy groups around the EU and policymakers at both the EU and member state level. Mr. Narayan Liu wanted to discuss Hong Kong, Czechia and the EU and how the latter two can support the Hong Kong activists residing here.

Pan Milan Štefanec mě a další čelní kandidáty do EP požádal o schůzku s obránci lidských práv z Krymu. Setkali jsme se v pražské delegační kanceláři na Karlově nám., zúčastnil se také Mikuláš Peksa a David F. Wagner v pozici kandidátů do EP. Tématem schůzky bylo podání přímého svědectví z okupovaného Krymu, popis situace ohledně politických vězňů a unesených lidí, představení některých konkrétních příběhů a diskuze o tom, co se pro ně dá udělat.

I was asked by the representatives of TikTok for a meeting in the EP in Strasbourg. The aim of the meeting was to discuss the preparedness ahead of the EU elections - they wanted to present me their work to safeguard the election integrity. During the meeting we exchanged some views on TikTok's ownership, Chinese affiliation, the way their algorithms work and where they store data, among other things.

I was contacted with a meeting request by Vahid Aliyev and Zhala Bayramova, human rights activists from Azerbaijan. The meeting was held ahead of the plenary discussion on the urgency resolution "Azerbaijan, notably the repression of civil society and the cases of Dr. Gubad Ibadoghlu and Ilhamiz Guliyev". Mr. Aliyev and Ms. Bayramova wanted to share with me some points for Dr. Ibadoghlu’s case and overall political situation in Azerbaijan.
