On 6.4. 2021 I met with Jonathan Prince, VP of Slack and head of it´s policy. We had a quick talk about gatekeeping and negative role of the market concentration and will follow up with more cooperation on the policy and PR of the topic.

Potkali jsme se u virtuální snídaně s Michalem Feixem k problematice DSA (Mikuláš je shadow na ITRE opinion), probírali jsme čistě DSA věci a kontroverze. Identifikovali jsme neshody (my nechceme upload filtry), shody (velká část) a možnosti kompromisů (vedoucí k možnosti vykonávat nějaká práva), probrali jsme i problematiku image based violence zlehka.

The most important issue of the meeting was ensuring consistency and clear single regulation for all the stakeholders even after implementing effects of The Directive (https://oeil.secure.europarl.europa.eu/oeil/popups/ficheprocedure.do?reference=2020/0268(COD) , where they fear that some implementations might lead to two different standards on being applied to one product at once (mostly in field of insurance). We are going to check up on that directly with DG Fisma.

We followed up and presented ours and theirs questions – we were interested in how are the big companies actually able to fulfil the requirements on internal ICT providers in comparison with the very special provisions DORA holds for third party providers, DB AG were interested in the state of play on timeline of the process and our views on criticality and proportionality.

SRB presented what they consider loops in the proposition, mostly in not defining role of SRB clearly and leaving regulatory holes to be fixed.

Representatives of the Czech/ European FinTech association presented their views, mostly on the regulatory burdens and problems in ensuring consistency between a range of applications.
